Shaan Shahid’s Powerful Comeback with “Bullah”— A Soul-Stirring Punjabi Action Film with Sara Loren
After a noticeable gap from the silver screen, Pakistani cinema’s beloved action hero Shaan Shahid is all set to make a thunderous comeback — and this time, it’s with a Punjabi film titled “Bullah”, featuring the stunning Sara Loren in a leading role.
This isn’t just another action-packed flick; it brings together heavyweight names from the industry. The script comes from none other than Nasir Adeeb, the legendary writer behind Maula Jatt, and the film is helmed by Shoaib Khan, who previously directed Jackpot. Shooting is actively taking place at Lahore’s iconic Bari Studios, with the first spell nearly wrapped.
Director Shoaib Khan described the project as more than just entertainment. “This film reimagines the spirit of Sufi poet Bulleh Shah in today’s world. Through Bullah — played by Shaan — we’re holding up a mirror to society. If even one viewer walks away with self-reflection, we’ve succeeded,” he shared in a conversation with Pakistani Cinema.
Shaan was last seen in the 2022 film Zarrar, while Sara Loren’s last major appearance was in Ishrat: Made in China. Bullah also features a solid supporting cast, including Saleem Sheikh, Naeema Butt, Adnan Butt, Ali Josh, and Mahum Mirza.
Produced under the banner of Shaky Films, Bullah is expected to hit cinemas in 2026. With a meaningful narrative, gripping action, and a dynamic lead pair, this one is shaping up to be a major moment for Punjabi cinema.
